The Blockade Group was formed in 2003 by Steve Burrows and has grown to encompass a number of services for the construction industry, including demolition, asbestos removal, earthworks, recycled aggregate production, site restoration and remediation, haulage, recycling, quarrying, landfill and landscaping projects.
Blockade has become a leading provider of demolition services and waste management across the UK. Our fully accredited and expert team has been involved in numerous large-scale projects, and has the skills and experience to safely tackle demolition projects of all sizes. We maintain all of our demolition plant and systems of work so they can carry out all works without risk to health and safety. We ensure safety and absence of risk to health in connection with the use, handling, storage or transport of all tools, plant, machinery and materials used in the performance of the company’s contract. We also ensure compliance to the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
All of our staff are qualified to meet the required standards of every project. All operatives are CPCS/CCDO qualified and carry out routine training within their positions. Blockade is constantly training and updating its operatives’ qualifications and skills to achieve the highest standard of safety.
