After the asbestos removal, the team conducted a full internal strip-out of the riding centre. This involved carefully dismantling the internal structures while maintaining the integrity of the surrounding areas. Once the internal strip-out was completed, Blockade moved on to the deconstruction of the steel-framed barn, which required precise handling due to its size and nature.
Following this, Blockade tackled demolishing the stable block, including removing all existing slabs and footings. The site was prepared for the next development phase by screening and crushing all hard arisings. These materials were processed into recycled aggregates, which were set aside for reuse during construction, contributing to the project’s sustainability.
